THE NJ NETS = BROOKLYN NETS
The NJ Nets have been in the news lately but for newsbits other than basketball (See this week's blog). Nets owner Bruce Ratner announced Thursday the 18,000-seat stadium designed by architect Frank Gehry will be called The Barclays Center when it opens later this decade & their key players came to celebrate The Barclay Center which will be located in Brooklyn, NY. Yes you guessed it, the New team will be called the Brooklyn Nets. Jay-Z is a minority owner of the Nets. The annoncement was made last week @ the Brooklyn Museum.

yes, Jay-z will is a minority owner, as in owning about 1% of the team.
yet, of the 200 owners with shares, besides Bruce Ratner, Jay-Z is the only other owner you'll ever see nearly 100% of the time.
1% of the team, 100% out front. what do you think thats about?
He wants to create the impression that his decision is the one that counts. Most people (hood people) dont look into it, they think he calls the shots and he REALLY doesnt. Last I checked, Nelly owne more than 30% of the Bobcats but people still dont give him his props...WHATEVER JIGGA MAN!!!!!
