Haute Glam Magazine sits down with Jennifer Lopez to find out her beauty and fitness secrets, bouncing back from twins and her upcoming projects!

What keeps you looking so young?
I’ve realized that experimenting with expensive creams is fun and can help, but at the end of the day it’s really about sleep and water. I also don’t drink or smoke- I never have. When I get up in the morning, I splash my skin with water and put on my makeup. At night, I cleanse with a very mild cleanser- I don’t use heavy creams. With skincare, I think the simpler you keep it, the better.

Do you feel pressure to look youthful?
Beauty is only skin deep. I think what’s really important is finding a balance of mind, body and spirit. Somebody said to me not too long ago, “Until you’re 20, you have the face you are born with and after that, you have the face you deserve: I really love the idea that you wear who you are on your face.

Is getting older necessarily a bad thing?
I really believe that beauty is something that comes from within. Physical beauty fades and it’s what comes through your eyes that makes you beautiful and makes people look at you. You can see a woman who is 70 and still looks beautiful. It’s something in her eyes and her spirit.

What do you usually have in your make-up bag?
I normally have lip gloss in there, as well as bronzer, moisturizer, mascara, and perfume. At the moment, I’m wearing my new fragrance, Deseo!

How do you keep fit?
I have a trainer in LA and recently I have started taking yoga classes. When I was younger, I was in to hard physical exercise, but now what’s more important to me is finding a balance of mind, body, and spirit. I still do weights and cardio but I try to take a soft, feminine approach to it. I’m definitely not fanatical. Basically, I’m just like anybody else in that you have to know your body type and you know what you have to do to keep it in top form, and you know how you look and feel when you kind of slack off. I’m only human. Sometimes I feel like working out and other times, I don’t and sometimes I feel great about myself and sometimes I think, “Oh God, I have work to do.” It’s just normal woman stuff.

Do you watch your diet?
I try to watch what I eat. I know what’s good for me and I know what’s bad and try to stay away from bad things. Like everyone else though, I indulge myself once in a while. If I’m trying to lose weight, I just cut carbohydrates from my diet.

What skincare regime do you follow?
I don’t have any crazy secrets, like sleeping upside down or whatever. I’ve always taken care of my skin. I protect it from the sun and because my skin type is normal to dry, I try to keep it moisturized, especially when I’m flying. To get a natural radiant look, I choose neutral shades of make-up such as black, brown, tape and gold for my eyes. For lips, the nuder-the better!

What is your favorite anti aging tip?
It has to be sleep. I do try to get 8 hrs of sleep a night. With all the demands people make on me, I’ve had to learn to take care of myself. If you let people treat you like a machine, then they will. If I’m not careful, I’d be working 20hrs a day!

Would you ever consider plastic surgery?

I haven’t had any and I don’t really see myself having something done. I don’t know how I’ll feel when I’m 50. Maybe I’ll feel, “You’ve gone a little too long, it’s time to fix it.” But I’m more of a natural person. Luckily, I’m so used to seeing myself everywhere now that I no longer obsess about the way I look.

VOGUE ITALIA goes Black....

Italian Vogue is releasing the FIRST EVER All black Issue.
Vogue Italia’s editor-in-chief, Franca Sozzani said this about the issue. “We are using a lot of black models, like Iman, not only the models of today – a lot of different girls.”

This will mark the first time in the history of Vogue where black models are the focal point!
The entire issue was shot by Steven Miesel and is set to hit the newsstands this July. Meisl’s hope is that this issue will spur other publications to prominently feature Black models.
-Set to be on the cover is British Model, Jourdan Dunn.
Jourdan was also the first black model to walk for Prada in 11 years (CRAZY!) this past season, after the fashion house was widely criticized for it's lack of minorities on the runway, Miucca reluctantly chose 17 yr Jordan to break the spell.

Kanye West's GLOW IN THE DARK Tour...

So EVERYONE'S talking about the Glow In the Dark Tour last night. I've been reading reviews all morning and and I'm incredibly jealous and excited!!!

I'm a bit "anti-concert" because,

a) The artists never PERFORM
b) The shows are monotonous

c) Nothing worth looking at
I'd much rather stay home and watch CSI-Miami reruns.
The last concert(s) I attendend was Prince's Musicology tour in 2004. I went 5 times and it was worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY!
I haven't been this excited since the Michael & Janet Jackson's Scream!!
We JUST recieved our tickets to Kanye's shows in Vegas, April 25 and Miami May 6th

I'm still torn on attending the Houston show [It's in The Woodlands and it's OUTSIDE (insert blank face here)].

Until then, I'll be google surfing for Official Glow In the Dark merchandise. :-)

We are IN Miami for Funkshion and already loving it! This is the first of 3 DIFFERENT Fashion Weeks in Miami every year. This year marks FUNKSHION's 10th anniversary and it is perhaps the biggest lineup so far!

Here's what FUNKSHION's about:

FUNKSHION: Fashion Week Miami Beach celebrates its 10th season with one of the most impressive line-ups in recent years. The state of the art fashion pod will be built on the sand at 11th Street and Ocean Drive in Lummus Park in Miami Beach. The venue will feature three unique venues with a large court yard for sponsor activations in the center of it all. The court yard and main fashion venues will be real grass as FUNKSHION strongly supports Eco movement.

TONIGHT: We are all over the place.. First with The Mayor's introdiction of FUNKSHION and then off to check out Sweetface by Jennifer Lopez runway show and the Private AfterParty at the Beautiful Setai Hotel, Official Hotel for FUNKSHION and our home for the next few days (http://www.setai.com/).

Haute Glam TV will be there with correspondent, Lauren Olly bringing you exclusives with people, models and designers as MFW kicks off in style!

Perez Hilton reports that Melanie Brown married her boyfriend, movie producer Stephen Belafonte 2 days ago in Vegas. She was scheduled to be on CNN's Larry King Live today but cancelled last minute due to health problems.

An inside source close to the couple says, “They’ve known each other for seven years and were friends before they were lovers,” says our source. “Stephen treats her like a queen and she’s incredibly happy.”

This comes after tabloids exposed Stephen's not so saintly past.

In Non Celebrity News, I would like for our Readers to Research Stevens Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TENS) and become more aware of this debilitating HORRIBLE disease could be potentially fatal. What boggles my mind about SJS is how rare BUT relatively EASY it is to get it! Words cannot describe the physical agony and torture that result from it. Up until very recently, I had NEVER heard of it, but it is now something that has, is, and will continue to affect the lives of me & my family. I do not have SJS, but if this blog entry could help prevent and/or INFORM just ONE person about the POSSIBILITY of SJS, then I have done my job. IT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE!
